Tell me a little bit about yourself and your role at Vision

My role at Vision involves anything to do with the websites. This could be creating and updating web pages, ensuring the products on our shop have all the correct details on, or creating artwork to be used on the websites, among other things.

What made you want to join Vision as an apprentice?

I didn’t feel that going to university would be the best option for me personally, so instead I chose to look for some local apprenticeships where I could learn and make some money while doing so!

What do you enjoy about being at Vision?

I enjoy carrying out new tasks and learning new things all the time. The people I work with are all very friendly and will always help when asked.

What have you learnt since being at Vision?

I’ve learned about all the different platforms we work on and what it’s like to work full time in an office environment.

How do you think apprenticeships help those looking for a career?

It helps the apprentice gain experience in a working environment and gives them an opportunity to see if they want to carry on working in that field or go in a different direction.

How has being an apprentice at Vision helped you to understand your career goals?

Before my apprenticeship I wasn’t sure if this was the path I wanted to go down, however since joining Vision I am sure that this is what I want to do.

Would you recommend an apprenticeship for someone who is undecided? If so, why?

I would recommend an apprenticeship because you are learning what you would at university while also gaining firsthand experience.
