Global hotel group, IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), are once again attempting to beat their own world record of most pillowcases stuffed in one minute, using Vision products.

The world record attempt, which will take place on Monday 3rd October at 12pm, will see over 100 IHG-owned hotels, in different locations across continental Europe, take part in the elaborate stunt along with representatives from Vision outside the IHG global headquarters in Denham.

The previous record, set by IHG in 2013, was held across 67 venues up and down the UK and saw 12,580 pillowcases stuffed by 2,367 participants. Above is a video of the previous record being made, and we’ll also be recording the event this time around.

The challenge is being done as part of IHG Foundation Week, a week-long series of events dedicated to raising money for the IHG Foundation; a charity committed to helping communities enhance their hospitality skills, supporting those affected by disasters, protecting the environment and supporting grassroots community organisations all over the world.

Sales Director for Vision’s Hospitality Division, Jacqui Hurst, and Sales Manager for Vision’s Hospitality Division, Victoria Hargreaves, will both be attending to distribute the pillows and hoping to put their pillow-stuffing skills to the test.

Jacqui said: “It was an honour for Vision to be asked to be part of something so meaningful. We have an outstanding working partnership with IHG and their responsible business practices mirror our very own Vision values so it was without hesitation that we agreed to donate our products to this very worthwhile cause.

As well as being a fun and entertaining activity, it’s incredibly important to remember the money raised from the IHG Foundation Week will go towards supporting global projects and communities, which Vision are extremely proud to be a part of.”

Over 1,000 Vision pillows will be donated to the world record attempt with the pillowcases being kindly donated by Aeroserve Laundry, as part of the National Laundry Group. Participants will be able to take away a small memento from the day; with Vision offering them to each hopeful to take home as a souvenir.
