Silver EcoVadis Rating for Vision

Vision Support Services is thrilled to announce it has retained its silver rating for EcoVadis, a company which provides holistic corporate social responsibility (CSR) ratings.

The EcoVadis methodology for evaluating company CSR performance covers 21 criteria across four themes of environment, fair labour practices, ethics and fair business practices, and supply chain.

Vision has been a member of EcoVadis for two years and has excelled in a number of disciplines in order to retain its silver rating, which it has held for the entire time as members.

The membership of EcoVadis ensures that they review all of Vision’s policies and procedures and requires verification of supplier ethical and environmental reviews as well as conducting third party audits to ensure certification is correct.

Vision Group Assurance and Compliance Manager, Dianne Hill, said: “The system is based on third-party checks that demonstrate our commitment to continuous improvement whilst also providing our customers the peace of mind that we deliver on our promises – and do what we say on the tin!”

A hugely beneficial aspect of the EcoVadis platform is that Vision’s own customers can be given access to the scorecard to see, in detail, how the textile company performs against particular areas, providing a centralised hub for various certifications.

EcoVadis is used by some of the biggest names in business such as Apple, Microsoft and Google and Vision holds the same rating as the likes of Coca-Cola. Additionally, the platform is now a requirement by many of the largest hotel brands when choosing their suppliers.
