Vision Support Services International Track 200

Having been named Business of the Year at the e3 Business Awards back in June, Vision were delighted when merely a week later they were also ranked in The Sunday Times International Track 200 for 2016.

The prestigious league table aims to rank the top-performing companies across the UK and recognise their excellence in achieving some of the fastest-growing international sales. Compiled by Fast Track and published in The Sunday Times each year, the award is a highly significant and recognised certificate of excellence predominantly featuring high flyers from up and down the UK.

Vision Support Services came in at an impressive 46 this year making it the second time in three years that the global textiles firm has made an appearance in the league table, after ranking 26 in 2014. Some other recognisable names on this year’s list include the likes of women’s fashion retailer Missguided, jewellery retailer Jon Richard, travel search engine Skyscanner and cinema operator, Vue.

As a leading supplier and distributor of luxury, performance and specialist textiles to some of the world’s most renowned names in hospitality, healthcare and retail; Vision features three leading product brands – Liddell, Hilden and Whitakers. Combined with the logistical prowess of Vision, the heritage-rich product brands have appeared in some of the largest establishments the world over from public sector bodies including the Ministry of Defence, here in the UK, to the ‘world’s most luxurious hotel’, the Burj Al Arab In Dubai.

The 7th Sunday Times HSBC International Track awards dinner went ahead on the 22nd September with a whole host of famous faces appearing to speak including six-time Olympic gold medallist, Chris Hoy MBE. The awards dinner, which took place at the Marriot Grosvenor Square in London saw over 200 guests receive a certificate detailing their outstanding achievement.

Accepting the award on behalf of Vision, Managing Director, Laurie Thomas said: “It’s an honour to receive an International Track award; not least of all because this makes the second time in three years that Vision has been recognised for our international achievements.

To receive such acclaim in 2016 is particularly worthwhile for Vision as, earlier this year, we united our three product brands into the Vision group in order to streamline our services and capitalise on our strengths. This, in turn, means we are able to consolidate our offering to the global market and enhance our presence; providing our customers with a greater choice of product, global services encompassing supply and development and ultimately, a lower cost.

Vision aims to provide a total textile solution to its many clients which include, Jashanmal department store in Dubai, Raffles Hotel in Singapore, The Atlantis Palm in Dubai, Hilton Worldwide and the IHG Group. It now offers services such as quality assurance, product sourcing, supply chain management and vendor development amongst others.

Laurie continued: “We hope that this recognition for our achievements in the international market is only the beginning as we consistently develop our performance and position to put us at the forefront of the textile industry.”
