Vision is proud to be working with The Pahar Trust; last year we donated £1000 to the charity after seeing the devastating effects from the 2015 earthquake.

Recently , the Pahar Trust got back in touch to show us exactly how our donation helped the earthquake relief and provided sanitation to Nepali children; this inspired us to go back to the drawing board and come up with a new, fun way to get all Vision employees working towards an even greater

2016 Vision  Head to Head

We grow our business by ensuring our staff are happy, focussed and determined. To create such a culture we are always looking for excellent excuses for team bonding – and a bit of healthy rivalry too! We saw this as a great opportunity to encourage positive employee morale – whilst raising money for a fantastic cause.

We’ve split all of our global employees into two teams, these teams will be pitted against each other to raise as much money as they can via a series of internal challenges. Going head to head – our MD, Laurie Thomas will head up Team Stoke, with Finance Director, Mark Doyle leading Team Dublin. Throughout the year, employees will be urged to suggest and take part in challenges across all of Vision’s global offices. From bake offs to sports days; no challenge is too big or small.

Laurie Thomas, MD of Vision Support Services and Manager of Team Stoke said; “It was great to be back in touch with the charity once again, and it was very humbling to see how our donation went directly towards the rebuilding of a Nepali school which suffered drastically in the earthquake.

“This made us want to do more, especially as the charity now needs more funds to complete the build of the school and to improve educational opportunities for children in the region. So far we’ve had excellent input from our employees and everyone is keen to get involved. We are positive that this time we will be able to raise even more money.”

Challenge One: Vision Football Match

The first employee challenge kicked off on Thursday 3rd March with a gruelling – and very entertaining – football match at Blackburn’s SoccerDome. We had representatives from Head Office, China, Pakistan and India clamber in to take part and witness a humiliating first defeat for Team Dublin.

With Team Stoke taking the first lead, we’ll be intrigued to see if they can hold onto their title during the next challenge!
