Representatives from Vision Support Services travelled to Dubai to exhibit a range of their luxury Liddell collections at the Hotel Show Dubai earlier this month.

Taking place from 17th – 19th September, the annual event, now in its 17th year, was officially opened by H.E. Majid Saif Al Ghurair, chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and was on course to attract over 30,000 visitors to the three-day show.

Hosted in the Dubai World Trade Centre, the Hotel Show Dubai is the largest hospitality event attracting a number of high-profile names from across the Middle East hospitality market and Vision reps were on hand throughout the show, proudly showcasing some of the finest hospitality linens favoured by renowned names such as the Burj Al Arab hotel, Hilton and the Atlantis Palm.

With an expected increase in the Dubai tourism landscape over the coming years, the event was crucial in building upon Vision’s presence in Africa and the Middle East with tourism figures in Dubai expected to reach 20 million by 2020.

The Vision team brought along an exclusive range of luxury products from their famed Liddell range; a brand which has been synonymous with luxury for hundreds of years since embellishing the beds and tables of the RMS Titanic back in 1912.

As Vision celebrated the brands 150th anniversary this year, attending the Hotel Show Dubai provided an even greater opportunity this time around; not least because of the replica Titanic table linen which was unveiled as a nod to the brand’s rich history and heritage. Alongside the Titanic linen, reps also presented a number of other high-quality Liddell products including the Foxrock bathrobe, Sheer Lux collection of filled goods, Monte Cristo bed linen range and unrivalled Van Gogh bath linen sets.

Attending the event on behalf of Vision, International Sales Director Marc Wynne said: “The Hotel Show Dubai presented Vision with a great opportunity to launch our commemorative 150th Liddell Boutique collections which included a range of original and luxurious bed and table linens.

This is a hugely exciting time for the Dubai hospitality market with the number of rooms and hotels growing year-on-year and so being able to showcase our deluxe and first-class hospitality linen products couldn’t have come at a better time.

We invited some of our largest clients from the Middle East and Africa to the event in order to build upon our existing relationships with key contacts in the region as well as highlight the superior linens to potential new customers within these markets.”

This year’s event proved timing was key to the hospitality landscape in the UAE with 317 hotels expected to open across the Middle East and Africa in 2017 opening up over 80,000 new rooms across the area.

Organisers of the Hotel Show said the event had been a great success. Gary Williams, Event Director of The Hotel Show and The Leisure Show Dubai, commented: “The Hotel Show provides hospitality industry professionals in the Middle East with the ultimate platform to source latest products, network, and learn about industry trends, in the region’s hub for development: Dubai.

At the 17th annual Hotel Show, we presented a shop window for the world’s hospitality industry with our most comprehensive international product showcase to date – featuring exhibitors from 44 countries – looking to showcase new and existing products in Dubai, a location synonymous with hospitality innovation and excellence.”
