Hot on the heels of our numerous award wins and recognitions throughout the year; Vision has now been shortlisted for yet another one; this time it’s the Insider North West International Company of the Year award.
Celebrating importing, exporting and international business throughout the North West of England, the Insider International Trade Awards are organised by Insider, one of the UK’s most successful B2B media companies.
The awards specifically seek to recognise companies who have excelled in international trade within our region and Vision are extremely proud to be named as finalists for another prestigious award.
Earlier this year, Vision won a Business of the Year award at the E3 Business Awards, held in June. Shortly after, the global textile giant achieved a number 46 ranking in the Sunday Times International Track 200 list, making it the second time in three years that Vision appeared on this esteemed list.
Nominated for the ‘International Company of the Year £26m – 40m Turnover’ award this time around, the recognition is an ideal opportunity to showcase Vision’s strengths and comes after streamlining its offering and uniting three global and heritage-rich brands – Hilden, Liddell and Whitakers – under the Vision umbrella.
Speaking on behalf of Vision, Managing Director, Laurie Thomas said: “2016 has been a year of intensive restructure for Vision. We streamlined our offering by uniting three textile brands, fine-tuned our proposition to the global market and really focused on our international growth through our manufacturing and distribution partners.
This restructure could have meant a period of uncertainty for the team but, instead, we’ve flourished and to be nominated for yet another exciting international award proves that the commitment and dedication of everyone has really paid off.”
Shortlisted entrants for the awards took part in a pitching and interview session with the panel of judges from Insider. The winners will be revealed at a black-tie event on Thursday 1st December at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester and we’ve got our fingers firmly crossed that we’ll be ending the year with yet another exciting win for the Vision group!
