lloyds bank national business awards

Global textiles company, Vision Support Services, has been announced as a finalist for the Exporter of the Year award in the 2017 Lloyds Bank National Awards.

Vision, which was founded in 2005, brought together three heritage-rich textile companies that were struggling to take their production overseas and amalgamated them into Vision where they now form the company’s three leading product brands.

Managing Director, Laurie Thomas, said: “In Vision’s short lifetime we’ve gone from a relatively unknown name in the market to having 6,500 customers in 84 countries, across five continents. We’ve worked hard to create a worldwide, unified business and amalgamated three textile companies fully into one global organisation so it’s an enormous honour to be acknowledged for these achievements and be shortlisted with some of the most recognisable names in business.

We’ve, so far, been very fortunate to have worked with some of the most prestigious names in hospitality, healthcare and retail and we hope that, through these awards, our dedicated staff are recognised for their efforts in creating outstanding products, offering valuable services but, above all, their commitment to our brand values and ethos.”

The finalists were chosen from the hundreds of businesses that entered or were nominated across 18 categories. They will now prepare for live presentations to an expert judging panel who will decide the overall winners.

Conor McGinn MP recently hosted a reception for the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards at the House of Commons. This enabled to meet fellow entrants, the National Business Awards Advisory Board members, judges (who they will present to in September) and sponsors of each category.

Tom Broughton, Group Brand Director of the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards said: “Given the economic uncertainty over the past year, it is inspiring more than ever to see British businesses prosper. Through a thorough and comprehensive judging process, this year’s selected finalists demonstrate exceptional quality and diversity across a range of business sectors within the UK. We are now looking forward to the next step of the process and meeting some of the finalists face-to-face.”
