Nominated for a momentous three awards, Vision Support Services, took away the accolade of ‘International Business of the Year’ award at this year’s E3 Business Awards.

The event took place on 13th July at Bolton’s Macron Stadium where the textiles giant was up for:

  • Corporate Social Responsibility Award
  • Business of the Year
  • International Business of the Year

Beating out stiff competition against three other businesses, the international growth and success of Vision over the last year was recognised and rewarded as the team took home one of the biggest awards of the night.

Set up in 2005, Vision has grown from a relatively unknown name in the market to now employing over 100 highly trained and dedicated staff across five continents and now boasts seven offices across the world with plans to open further premises in future.

With 6,500 customers from a range of sectors including the global accommodation, healthcare and retail markets, the most recent award goes to show just how far Vision has come in its relatively short life.

Managing Director, Laurie Thomas, said: “Vision’s unique proposition in the market, and what makes us stand out from our competitors, is our dedicated sourcing, sales, assurance and logistics offices in the key manufacturing regions; India, China and Pakistan.”

“We offer a cost-effective supply chain for each jurisdiction coupled with a customer service platform; this makes us different from other textile companies and it is this service that is unique to Vision.”

After being awarded Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status back in November, Vision’s operations have gone from strength to strength and the company also won Outstanding Exporter award at the International Trade Club awards. The business also appeared on the Sunday Times International Track 200 league table for the third time, earlier this year, ranking at an impressive number 54.

Reflecting back on why Vision took away the International Business of the Year award, Laurie said: “It’s the people who make Vision; they live and breathe the company ethos every single day and it’s these people who excel in delivering our own vision – we’re much more than a box of sheets! We’re proud to have such a diverse, exceptional set of individuals who each have helped in our international growth.”

Speaking on behalf of 1 Events Media, the host and organiser of the awards, Managing Director Mubarak Chati said: “2017 broke all records in terms of the number of award nominations we received so to come away with a win is an achievement of which Vision Support Services can be very proud.

“Every year, the E3 Business Awards give us a new insight into the many talented and hard-working businesses that are thriving in the North West. Despite uncertain economic conditions, companies, social enterprises and individual entrepreneurs remain undaunted; they continue to grow, to create jobs and to improve people’s lives. Vision Support Services is a fine example of that enterprising spirit and the E3 Awards are all about providing the recognition that such organisations deserve.”

Vision’s most recent success follows their ‘Business of the Year’ win at the 2016 E3 Business Awards.
