We’re All in This Together

we're all in this together

Coronavirus is now officially a global pandemic affecting at least 170 countries in the world. With many countries now on lockdown, many of Vision’s staff are working from home in order to prevent the spread of the infection.

Vision’s warehouse is operating at full service and the China office has also returned to full capacity ensuring there is minimal disruption to the supply chain.

In times of unprecedented crisis, it’s important to remember that we’re all in this together. Both Vision and WestPoint are dedicated to the health and wellbeing of their customers, their planet, and their staff.

For over 200 years, both companies have been at the forefront of textile innovation and at the cutting edge of manufacturing, sourcing and distribution. Vision in particular, has historical contacts with the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice and various healthcare establishments up and down the UK.

Back in March, WestPoint Group began producing reusable facemasks to help frontline healthcare workers. These facemasks are made from a proprietary healthcare textile, offering an increased level of protection and the company is preparing regulatory submissions as quickly as possible to ensure these products are also made available to the general public.

The masks being manufactured include a technology which embeds silver ions into a fibre which will last over repeated washes. These are not the facemasks used on hospital wards, as those require a completely tight seal, but are suitable for protection in other settings.

In conjunction with the New York City Mayor’s office as well as other government bodies, WestPoint Group are trying to make these facemasks readily available and free of charge to healthcare workers.

Meanwhile in the UK, Vision continues to work with the NHS Trusts up and down the country, removing barriers for sale to allow them to order exactly what they require and ensure efficient dispatch of the healthcare textiles.

Vision has numerous supply agreements in place with Synergy, a nominated laundry for the NHS and Celtic Linen which is a laundry partner with the Irish Health Service Executive.

Equally, Vision is working hard to ensure all of the healthcare establishments and public sector bodies such as BUPA and Care UK, are still receiving goods, and the company is working hard to make the transactional process easier online.

Ultimately, Vision and WestPoint Group continue to be open for business working hard to ensure their customers get exactly what they need, when they need it.

We’re all in this together.
